根据国外媒体近日报道,最近因为美国步枪协会(NRA)的一个视频导致”fisk”这个单词在Dictionary.com的搜索量剧增。在这段NRA视频中,NRA发言人Dana Loesch在视频中对着镜头说道:“我们将要fisk《纽约时报》,”并且在最后总结成:“简而言之,我们要来找你了。”
由于在这段NRA视频的文字部分,NRA打出了一个#ClenchedFistofTruth的标签,于是很多网友将视频中的fisk误听成fist,这让他们以为Dana Loesch所说的跟性行为有关。
但是很显然,大家对fisk这个单词并不熟悉,于是美国人民纷纷求助Dictionary.com网站,这也就是导致该单词在上面搜索量突然增加的原因。
在Dictionary.com的解释中,
第一个内容指的是历史人物James Fisk:詹姆斯,1834-72年,美国金融家和股票投机者;
第二个意思是(美国俚语)逐条反驳(一篇文章或博客)批评。看起来NRA发言人Dana Loesch所说的就是第二个意思,也就是我们将要逐条反驳《纽约时报》。
