2016年度美国Billboard公告牌音乐奖颁奖典礼将于当地时间5月22日晚上8点（北京时间5月23日早上八点）在拉斯维加斯隆重举行。Madonna，Taylor swift, Adele，Celine Dion，Rihanna，Justin bieber等各路大牌精彩呈现,。而Ludacris将连续第三年主持该盛会。这一次Ludacris的搭档是Ciara，他们将共同为大家带来精彩的播报。

本届公告牌颁奖礼将由说唱音乐人卢达克里斯（Ludacris）和齐亚拉（Ciara）联手主持，“公告牌音乐奖是最出色的音乐类颁奖典礼之一。这次能和Ludacris同台主持Ciara表示十分开心，希望会是一次难忘的经历。”

在此前公布的提名名单当中，The Weeknd可能在2016公告牌音乐奖上大有收获！他入围16个奖项分类，共获得了19个提名，强势领跑！Justin Bieber入围11个分类，收获12个提名，紧随其后。Drake 和Fetty Wap 都得到11个提名， Taylor Swift 和Adele均入围八项。

另外，4月21日，美国资深音乐人王子在他位于明尼苏达州的派斯利庄园中意外去世，年仅五十七岁。作为王子的铁杆乐迷，麦当娜将在本场颁奖礼上向他致敬，这无疑是本届颁奖礼的一大看点。除此之外，钱妞的登台也是本次颁奖礼颇为引人注目的环节，这将是她在性侵案之后第一次公开表演，据透露，她将翻唱美国民谣活化石鲍勃-迪伦（Bob Dylan）的名曲《It ain‘t Me baby》。

除了麦当娜和钱妞之外，其余将参加本年度公告牌颁奖仪式演出的音乐人还包括贾斯汀-比伯（Justin Bieber），席琳-迪翁（Celine Dion），DNCE，五美组合（Fifth Harmony），The Go-Go’s，黛米-洛瓦托（Demi Lovato），肖恩-门德斯（Shawn Mendes），粉红佳人（Pink）和布兰妮-斯皮尔斯（Britney Spears）。其中，布兰妮将在本次颁奖礼上演唱她的一些代表作的串烧，而席琳-迪翁则将被授予公告牌标签大奖。
公告牌音乐奖根据歌手的专辑销量、音乐点播量和Facebook等媒介上的互动性为评判标准，总结回顾2015-2016年度艺人的表现，Nielsen Music 和 Next Big Sound等提供大数据分析支持。
