根据国外媒体近日报道，最近因为美国步枪协会(NRA)的一个视频导致”fisk”这个单词在Dictionary.com的搜索量剧增。在这段NRA视频中，NRA发言人Dana Loesch在视频中对着镜头说道：“我们将要fisk《纽约时报》，”并且在最后总结成：“简而言之，我们要来找你了。”
由于在这段NRA视频的文字部分，NRA打出了一个#ClenchedFistofTruth的标签，于是很多网友将视频中的fisk误听成fist，这让他们以为Dana Loesch所说的跟性行为有关。
但是很显然，大家对fisk这个单词并不熟悉，于是美国人民纷纷求助Dictionary.com网站，这也就是导致该单词在上面搜索量突然增加的原因。
在Dictionary.com的解释中，
第一个内容指的是历史人物James Fisk：詹姆斯，1834-72年，美国金融家和股票投机者；
第二个意思是（美国俚语）逐条反驳（一篇文章或博客）批评。看起来NRA发言人Dana Loesch所说的就是第二个意思，也就是我们将要逐条反驳《纽约时报》。
